Snakes in Austin, TX?

I will be moving to Austin, Texas with my husband within the next month or so and I wanted to know whether there are alot of snakes there and how often and in what areas you are most likely to see them. You see, I suffer from extreme ophidiophobia to the point where even a picture of a snake is enough to trigger it, and whether snakes are common (or not) in Austin is definitely something I would like to know. Any help you could offer would be appreciated. Thanks.
