Question about native american burial grounds..?

ok, first off, i live in chippewa falls wisconsin and for as long as i can remember i have been told that the land my house is built on used to be a native american burial ground, my grandpa built my house about 60 years ago and he has always said that he was told that the land used to be an indian burial ground, i have always wondered how true it is and i would like to find out the history of the land my house is built on but i don't know how to go about this, a cousin told me to call the city historian and somebody else told me to contact the nearest indian reservation, i don't know how to go about this, does anybody know? it's something i'm very interested in and i want to find out if my house is really built on a burial ground, thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for answering. i appreciate it.
