Girl doll from 1990's?

When I was growing up in the 90's, I has this doll that I loved, but I can't for the life of me remember her name. She was a singer and she might have been based off a real celebrity. She might have been foreign (European, possibly Swedish?). She was "Barbie type" doll, but I don't think she was made by Mattel. I think I remember her having a red military style button up jacket, black pants, and high black boots. I've searched everywhere on the internet, but I'm having no luck. I know my description of her is very vague, but does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about? I would appreciate any help. Not knowing her name is driving me crazy!
