Care tips for a baby brown snake?

I found a baby snake in my neighborhood in northern Texas, I believe that it is a brown snake (Storeria dekayi), and I was wondering how to care for it. I offered it some crickets and a pill bug, and I think my mom may have dropped a slug in, but he/she doesn't seem to be eating. I was also wondering if a cage setup with aspen bedding, a hide, a leaf pile in the corner, and a shallow water dish with a 60 watt heat bulb would do.
