Do you think the old care bears movies were inappropriate for kids?

so I started to watch the first movie with my 3 year old and after 10 minutes I had to turn it off because of the "evil spirit" that possessed objects and encouraged the young boy to do "real magic" and be evil. I cant believe I liked this movie when I was younger! I forgot all about that crap. Then I started reading about the second movie and a girl basically makes a deal with the devil to gain power, and "dark heart" can turn into a snake with red glowing eyes. what the crap this movie is creepy for an adult!
